In contrast, Marx's profoundly nihilistic revelation influenced modern Progressivism, leading to existential challenges for our civilization.We explore the evolution of our civilization, from St. Paul and the early Christians to the death of classical civilization, the emergence of Western Europe, the influences of St. Francis, Luther, Calvin, the Enlightenment, the birth of the United States, up to the revolutionary ideas of Marx and the waves of change of the European revolutions.The book concludes with a critical analysis of contemporary Progressivism, questioning whether its nihilistic roots are leading our civilization towards a self-destructive epilogue.
