Una raccolta poetica retrospettiva dove Catia Simone propone una partita doppia tra il tempo che finora ha dedicato agli altri e il tempo che le è stato donato. Nonostante il titolo "Mentirosa" sembri suggerire che il contenuto del libro sia immaginazione o auto-fiction, poesia dopo poesia ci avviciniamo al sentire della poetessa. E' evidente che la poetica dell'autrice si stia ponendo l'obbiettivo di smascherare alcuni facili tòpoi romantici come l'amore, la maternità, la giovinezza,l'estate, e la luna. I rapporti umani proposti sono principalmente esperienze di donna, sono legami e legacci che ci arricchiscono e più spesso depauperano il tempo delle donne.
