Evolution of Social Structures in Animals and Humans. Theory of History
di Roberto Bani (Autore)
Since the dawn of civilization, our species has been characterized by tumultuous socio-cultural changes in which creativity or ingenuity, a newly acquired faculty, and feelings inherited from the past play a decisive role. The primitive Darwinian horde hypothesized by Sigmund Freud is the decisive suggestion: from the genetic past we have inherited the feelings that bind us to private property or to domination/submission or to the community. Feelings that continually appear in social life because they are an integral part of the Psyche of every human being. The book therefore carries out a detailed analysis of human social phenomena, from crowds to hierarchies to the market, to types of political regime and socio-cultural dynamics. Observing how individual psychic drives give rise to relationships that are articulated in plots up to the entire community. Consequently, throughout history certain types of socio-structures emerge that characterize civilizations in their rise and fall. Regardless of the forms in which they are expressed, all human beings have the same basic needs (nourishment, expansion of territory, management of power, hope in eternity) and following one or the other crowds are born and societies are organized.
The proposed theory explains the history and the discomfort of civilization.
