aphorisms, thoughts, maxims, songs and poems, between poetry and philosophy.
di Bruno (Autore)
"The Blessed City" is not the poetic transposition of an abstract place into reality, arising from a utopian vision of human existence: something else is true; that is, it refers to a human-existential commitment, where reality and interiority are continuously linked, and follow the path of natural and spiritual growth of a person. We could also classify "the Blessed City" as a physical place, and probably this place is the human body; yet from what we read in the book, it seems that such a city can be identified, in some way, with a real citadel: but this is precisely the beauty of using metaphors, similes, symbolisms, and everything that poetic-philosophical language allows an author. "The Blessed City" is not a magical or esoteric place: absolutely not; it is real and spiritual, linked to the dynamics of scientific thought, because there is a way of reasoning that differs from everyday thought. "The Blessed City" is clearly a compendium of maxims and thoughts on the themes of human existence; and this summary is actually a profound meditation designed to bring the reader back to the themes of reflection, attention, reason, and the search for that inner baggage that every person possesses.
