Vito Bologna, also known as "Alcamese," was born in Alcamo, in the province of Trapani, Sicily, on October 8, 1944. From a young age, he developed a passion for reading and writing. In 1966, he emigrated to the United States in search of better opportunities. His life and experiences inspired his poetic creations. Among his works, you can fifind "Pianto Solitario" (Solitary Weeping). These poems reflflect the poet's life and emotions during his emigration journey. Additionally, there is a poetic anthology titled "La luna in cielo" (The Moon in
the Sky). Vito Bologna's passion for writing and his life experiences have made his work
precious for those who appreciate poetry and the beauty of words. His writings serve as love letters to his beloved Alcamo and native Sicily. Currently, he resides in Pennsylvania with his wife of 50 years, enjoying time with his fifive grandchildren.
